| Scottish Smallpipes |

Smallpipes have been around
for at least 300 years, and are a quiet alternative to the highland bagpipes. Known by many other names, smallpipes
were used in more intimate settings, without the formality of the kilt. They can be mouthblown, or as this set
is, by a bellows. I have 2 sets, one in the key of "A", and one in the key of "D". I
charge a small fee for performing with these, mainely to cover travel expenses, and at times I simply play for food &/or
coffee. They are an indoor instrument, and I don't dress in the formality of the kilt. My CD has 2 smallpipe
cuts, "Hector the Hero" on the "A" pipes, and "The Tinker" on the "D"
pipes. Also, on my "Links" page, is a Youtube video with the Smallpipes. For more complete information
on the smallpipes, you can contact me.

Want a taste of rural Scotland without the
pipes? I can supply you with a variety of tunes with these, and I specialize in giving talks on rural music
and history. I normally don't charge any fee for lecturing, and it is a wonderful way for children to
hear and learn about some alternative music.
I can be reached either by email, or by phone at:
207-729-0283, or
207-751-1010 I make it a point of courtesy to answer all emails within 24 hours (unless
I'm on vacation).
And always watch for the IPIPE4U license plate... One
additional note...although I would love to do every wedding/party I can, I have to schedule the confirmed events first. That being said, the following dates are booked... Now accepting events for 2010 !!
