The ScotMel studio uses a Tascom DP02 8 Track Digital Recorder,
Behringer XENYX 1202FX Mixer, four Behringer C4 & four Nady SP-5 microphones as needed. Wavepad Sound Editor Pro and
a Dell XPS 410 Computer make sound reproduction simple and cost effective for budget minded artists. A large selection
of audio enhancements can be made to the tracks, as well as doubling, pitch & speed changes, and background ambience.
The finished demo CD can be produced in any number of standard formats, including MP3, MP4, AAC, & WAV and can be
imprinted with any design. Specializing in acoustic instrumental and vocal performers, ScotMel Studio rates
are affordable and by the project, not hourly. Recording can be at a setting of your choice. For more information,

Some features of the ScotMel recording equipment: The
Tascom DP02 recorder uses a pair of record-quality XLR inputs with phantom power for condenser microphones and a
guitar-in for direct recording. Each channel gives dedicated controls for instant access to fader level, record arm/track
mute, pan, effect send, high and low EQ. A multieffects processor on the input provides overdrive, flange, delay and more
for your guitar, vocal, drum and bass tracks. There's a reverb processor on send and return for adding hall,
room, plate or chamber reverb to your mix. Transfering tracks and mixes to a computer through a USB 2.0 connection simplifies
the process. Dedicated stereo master track for mixdown. Stereo line outputs on RCA analog and S/PDIF optical digital
connectors. Stereo reverb processor with send/return controls for multichannel mixing.
Behringer microphones are
dual-diaphragm condenser microphones that feature selectable cardioid,
pickup patterns, shock-mounted dual-diaphragms, and ultra-high sound resolution. Nady microphones offer balanced, natural
sound with bottom-end warmth, mid-range presence, and smooth high end. They feature a neodymium design and a tight unidirectional
cardioid pattern which reduces feedback.
The Behringer XENYX
1202FX mixing console incorporates a studio-grade 24-bit FX processor with 100 effect presets. The 1202FX also has 12
inputs and an FX send control for each channel. The XENYX mic preamp approaches the sound quality, transparency,
headroom, and even the dynamic range of boutique-style, standalone mic preamps. Behringer's neo-classic "British
EQ" brings back the warmth and musicality of those 60s and 70s mega-console desks that made music history.
